Welcome!
The Fourth International Conference on the Linguistics of Vietnam-2020 (ICLV-2020) is formed for the purpose of facilitating and promoting contact and communication among scholars and graduate students of Vietnamese Linguistics, and for the dissemination of their scholarly works. It holds international meetings biannually to provide reasonable opportunity for scholars and graduate students from Vietnam and overseas to participate.
The Fourth International Conference on the Linguistics of Vietnam-2020 will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam on 21-22 September 2020.

CALL FOR PAPER
Scholars are invited to submit abstracts of papers dealing with any areas related to Vietnamese language and world languages. Abstracts must be submitted by April 30, 2020 via the EasyChair system (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iclv2020).
OBJECTIVES
1. To discuss contemporary trends in language studies around the world and their applications to linguistics research in Vietnam.
2. To gather and connect national and international researchers; and to create an international academic forum for presenting linguistic research findings, which can provide theoretical evidence and rationale for the Party and State to design language policies.
AGENDA
1. Introducing contemporary trends in linguistic research around the world.
2. Reviewing, analyzing, evaluating studies on the Vietnamese language, ethnic minority languages in Vietnam and the use of foreign languages in Vietnam in the following aspects:
a) Phonetics, Lexicology, Semantics and Grammar.
b) Dialectology and history of the Vietnamese language.
c) Ethnic languages in Vietnam
d) Sociolinguistics
e) Systemic Functional Linguistics in education and other contexts
f) Language and Culture
